5 month old MCL issue(i think its MCL related) i'm a squash player

i'm a 35yr old male. in good shape. i was an active squash player. 3/4 times a week. last August, i slipped on sweat on the court and my right leg did something weird. it hurt. but..i played 2 more matches after that fall thinking it'd be fine. but it clearly wasnt. i stopped playing altogether. for maybe a few weeks, i was in pain walking around. limping a bit. but by a month, i was quite ok. walking and even running straight. it slowly seems to be getting better. but i still cannot completely bend my right knee. i can,but VERY slowly. i havent gone to a doctor yet, b/c i have no insurance and can't afford it. it never seemed serious, but you'd think after 5 months, it'd be almost healed. the research i've done,it seems to be an MCL injury. the inside of my right knee. no swelling. never swelled even in the beginning. i just cant bend completely like i said.

i hope i'm being detailed enough here. i iced it for 1 month straight daily.

do i need to provide anything else to you? yah,i know..i need to see a doctor. but, how long can these things take to heal???

thank u very much

MCL?

you already knew what I would say - see a doctor - not just for a diagnosis, but to get started on the right steps for recovery. Most injuries that cause pain for more than a few days would benefit greatly from rehabilitation - often times that is the difference between getting mostly better and getting completely better. So, if at all possible, see a doctor.
