A little worried

I'm currently 5 month post op for an ACL reconstruction using the hamstring technique, rehab is going well and I've started a running programme. Some days after running the knee feels very tight, there's no pain as such but it feels as if something needs to "crack" just to get the movement again. Is this a product of working the knee too hard to soon? I haven't managed to get full flexion yet no matter how much I work it, is this normal and something that will come in time?

Thanks for any help.

Allison's scar tissue problem NEW
by: Allison

I'm 7 months post ACL reconstruction. I constantly have to "crack" my knee in order to be able to move it properly. My doctor hasn't told me why but I've had a lot of issues with scar tissue (confirmed by MRI and a 2nd surgery). I think its just scar tissue that has formed in and around my knee that is limiting my range of motion, giving me the feeling of wanting to crack it. When this happens I move it around, it'll crack, then I'll feel relief. I do this dozens of times throughout the day. I'm just hoping this goes away over time.
Please let me know if your doctors tell you what it is.
Good luck to you.
Allison
