ACL injury nightmare.

(Illinois)

So I'm a senior in high school and I've played volleyball since about 5th grade and cheered since 3rd grade. I've worked really hard to get where I am and to be the best player I can and I actually was pretty good. I was probably one of the best on the team, and by that I mean the team really depended on me and I was a good asset to the team.
Anyway, I had my first game on this past August 25th, everything was going good and the game was about to start. It was the very first serve, after the ball came over to our side the second time, it was set up, I went up to hit and I landed on my feet but as I did my knee twisted and popped and hurt real bad.
I'd gotten hurt during a game before when i sprained both my ankles landing on a girl coming under the net and that pain was worse than the knee pain I just felt. I thought I could just get back up and everything would be okay. But, it went a little numb after sitting there for a little and I suddenly thought the worst. I was never the kind to get hurt and just not finish the game, but there was no way I could finish.
With me out of the game, everything was different. The team was out a good hitter, blocker, passer, and server. So I had to sit there with ice on my knee as I watched my team lose to our town rival. The only thing I was thinking about was my senior year and how there was no way i could miss out on any games.
I couldn't walk and when the game was over I had to go see my doc. He thought I just tore a muscle and I would be out 6 weeks, and I thought that was bad. A couple days later I went back to see him and he then thought it was just a sprain and I could get back to playing in 10 days. I thought that was good news. I was happy about that.

As days went on the swelling never went down. I went back to see the doc and he wanted me to get an MRI. I went that next day to get it and it was terrible news. It said I had 6 tears, I had fractured part of my femur, broken off part of my tibia and that I had a blood clot. I don't think I believed it.
It turned out that the MRI kind of exaggerated a bit and there wasn't really a break and the blood clot was just because of the bruising and swelling and wasn't serious. Next was the Orthopedic Surgeon. I saw this guy and I didn't know there was anything wrong with my acl until him. He basically just said I tore my acl and i had to have surgery.
My surgery is on Halloween and idk what to think. The only thing I can think about is how my senior year is ruined. There's no way I can wait 6 months to play again. I want to play in college but i don't know how I could if no colleges are gonna see me play. And no one understands, they think I can just walk on the team like high school. This is pretty much a nightmare.
