acl tear (patellar tendon graft?)

my 16 year old daughter will be going for her 2nd acl operation on the same knee next week.
The first was a hamstring graph, the doctor wants to use her patella graph on this one . does this make sense or should he be using a cadaver graph.

graft choice
by: Bart - SII

It is common to try a different graft for a second ACL reconstruction. My personal opinion is that the patellar tendon makes for a better option. Many physicians will shy away from a allograft choice in young patients, especially if they are going to be very active.

I would discuss your concerns with you doctor - they can give you the best answers as to their rationale for their graft choice.
