Alexis's ACL Reconstruction Surgert

by Alexis

I had ACL reconstruction about 3 months ago. The surgery went well and its nothing to worry about. With a cadaver ligament instead of my own the recovery has been fairly quick. I went to therapy all 3 months and am now maintaining my leg doing strengthening exercises and cardio. I am happy to report I am on my feet and active at the gym.

I am very concerned about full leg extension. I cannot get to full extension and I am starting to get a little worried. I have tried to research how serious of an issue this was and I came up short on information. Something else I noticed is my knee is "frozen" compared to my left knee. It may have something to do with leg extension and swelling.

Overall the surgery went really well and anyone that is going to undergo it will do great. But I would definitely recommend you research and find yourself a very reputable surgeon.
