Bill's ACL and Meniscus surgery

by bill
(north carolina)

i am a freshman in college, played soccer my whole life. tore it playing intramural co-ed soccer in college. getting surgery in literally 6 hours... so now i am online a little nervous about it which brings me to this website. i highly doubt i will have any responses before i go into surgery so this may be pointless, but i'll write more after surgery to give info to other people getting surgery. i am getting a donor patellar or something like that? well... wish me luck.

hey..

good luck with the surgery, im sure everything will go just fine and you will be up and about in no time

i am nearly 6months out of surgery now, having my check up with my surgeon in the morning to see if i can go back to sports

you have a long road of recovery ahead of u but trust me it goes really fast.. some days seem like you will never get better and never get back to sport but the time has gone so fast n i cant believe im 6months out!!

every step closer u get to going back to sport is an achievement n ive recently ran for 20mins with no pain!! one piece of advice i can give u is listen to ur physiotherapist..it is hard work and painful the first few weeks but everyday gets easier.. do all the exercises u get told to do even though it is a drag..for the first few weeks dont forget to ice 3times a day i no everybody prob keeps telling ya but it really does help.

My email address is cladababe@msn.co, if you want to ask any questions or get seom advice feel free to email me.

good luck for 2moro!

Karen
