My name is Erin. I tore my ACL playing soccer on September 22, 2009 in the third game of my varsity season. (sophomore) I was devistated by the news. because I just had signed a contract to be the striker on the U17 MPS lady crusaders team.I got my leg as strong as possible and had surgery on November 19, 2009 with doctor busconi. he has operated on the Boston bruins and new England revolution soccer. he did a fantasic job with minimal scars and great recovery so far. I uses the hamstring graft because the patellar tendon can cause major problemsdown the road such as arthritis and major knee pain. so I figured I'd take the extra long recovery and build my hammy back up rather than be in pain. I feel great so far! my advice to everyone is do you excersizes and do them well. Don't skip out on a few cuz ur tired. trust me this pays off. keep your head up everyone and you pwill be back to normal activities soon enough. you will not come back 100% you will come back 120% stay strong. anyone wanna talk to me e-mail me at enhuntley12@comcast.net
