Can't Straighten Arm (Elbow)

by Richard Hartnett
(Bronx , NY, USA)

I was playing hockey 3 months ago and as I was swinging to hit the ball my arm was at full stretch and a player met my elbow with his shoulder, My elbow bent the opposite direction for a second or 2 and popped back again. Now I cant straighten it. Theres about a 10-12 degree bend in it permenently, I went for x-rays and physiotherapy , the x-rays showed up nothing, but the physio said that she would try her best to straighten it, and the physio was helpful but she thinks it will never be fully straight,

To be honest its not as sore as before I can play hockey, but I still get the odd severe and uncomfortable pain in it when I'm reaching for something or I react quickly to something, also when I play darts or any kind of throwing activity at all,Its just an uncomfort I don't want anymore,

Is there anyway you can help or any medicine you coud advise,
A friend of mine said to try Dr. Franks joint and muscle pain relief.

Thank You,

Richard

elbow motion
by: Bart - SII

You likely suffered a joint capsule sprain - that can lead to restrictions in elbow motion, especially if the joint capsule scars at all. Surgery to clean up the joint might be the only option to restore full extension.
