Christians Hip Problem

by Christian
(Miami, Florida)

I was playing a game on a Thanksgiving tournament and some kid crashed me from my side. I barely get injured but this one got me when i was in the floor i couldn't get up but i had to keep playing - it was the finals. At first I couldn't step with my right leg but then I pulled through and played the game.

I went to the doctor and they told me that it was a muscle spasm - week of rest. After the week I kept playing soccer - still felt pain but just ignored it = the love of soccer didn't let me stop.

November through Febuary I played with pain. I stopped because I wanted to get rid of this pain. The pain was deep in the hip, sometimes the groin. It only hurts when I step inward with my right leg. I went to a chiropractor and the x-rays shows that I have an unleveled pelvis.

2 months of intense chiropractor treatment 3 times a week and no relief. I now go to a guy named alex - really cool guy - which uses the stretching method. He leveled my pelvis and says that the left hip caused the imbalance of the pelvis. I feel a little bit of relief but if it comes back again, I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO :(

Christian, thanks for the great post - which one is you in the picture?

It sounds like you are on the right track with treating your hip injury - I would make sure to continue with the stretching - you might also want to talk to your guy about hip and core strengthening to help keep your pelvis in alignment.

Thanks again for the story - keep us posted on how you do!
