well my name is corin and i am 15 an i tore my left and right acl and my inner meniscus on both knees to while playing soccer. my left tear happened while practicing with my competition team and i stepped into a hole while i was at a sprint and my knee hyperextended. it hurt but i thought i was ok so i decided to play in a soccer game well i stepped wrong and i heard a pop and had to get carried off the soccer field. i went to a doctor to get it checked out and he said it was nothing and just to let it heal one its own. ( he was wrong!) so i waited a couple weeks and went to go train for a camp my high school was going to. while training i was putting all my weight on my left leg and then my right knee popped. by then i knew something was majorly wrong and all i could think was will i ever play soccer again? well i went to a different surgeon and had and mri and a x-ray done. he took one look at it and told me that i had torn both acls and both of my inner meniscus and said i needed surgery. when i heard that i wanted to cry and i wished i could just get it over with and start playing soccer again. so i scheduled my first surgery on january 21 2010 to repair my right knee. that surgery was bad after the first two days i felt a lot of pain in my knee because their was a lot of bone bruising. and after a week i started pt and i was feeling better. then on march 17 2010 i had my left knee surgery. this one went better and their wasnt nearly as much pain. now i am walking and even jogging again. i still have to wait a full year till i can play again but i am on the road of recovery. i am hoping i will be able to play as good as i did before and will make it my junior year of highschool. and im awaiting my first soccer game i know its quite aways from now but i love soccer so what can i say. and if u have any advice i would love to hear it.
