Hi, i'm a senior in college and i was playing soccer in the indoor when me and one of my teammates bumped knees. My left leg hyperextended and i heard a pop. I went down and said i couldn't go. I went off to the side and iced it. went to the training room and had it examine they said that they felt a difference but that my knee was still tight. It swelled up but wasn't huge. I went in for treatment and it kept getting better. i could walk on it without it feeling like it was gonna give out. i played in it the following weekend and took a shot my knee gave out. got up took a little break and then kept playing on it. didn't give out anymore. i sat out and just iced it. the doctor looked at it and said that he thinks i either stretched it or have a slight tear in it. i can pivot on it without it feeling like it was gonna give out. i can stand on it, run on it, jump on it, cut with the ball, take a shot. I went and got my mri and they said that i have a complete tear in my acl. My friends don't think i did and my doctor from back home don't think i did. I have a decision to make to either get surgery up here at school or just wait and get another mri when i go home after i graduate. Don't know what to do? Should i just go under for surgery? please help
