My name is David and i am 16 years old. I injured my knee in a football game. I got hit while tryin to sack the QB and fell wrong. The sound was like 2 helmets hitting together with a large POP. At first i was diagnosed with a MCL sprain which was great news to me, because i could come back to sports in a few weeks. After a few weeks it didnt get better, and my mom wanted to seek a second chance advice.
We traveled a few hours to see one of the most respected doctors in our area. He looked at my MRI and diagnosed it with a completely torn ACL with some damage to the Miniscus. (kind of heart breaking when you know your out for the season). I went on to have surgery.
The surgery went great, they took a graph of my hamstring to replace my previous ACL. After surgery i experienced barely any pain and now i am into my 4th month of rehab. The physical therapists took great care of me. I am now ahead of schedule feeling great again. I still have some swelling and little pain off and on but other than that i feel 100%.. Cant wait for this coming baseball season since i missed this past football and basketball season.
