fell hard on knee

by annette

I fell hard on tile covered cement... came down on my left knee... 3 days later can walk, bend knee w/out problem, but touching the bruised spot causes sharp pain and a tingling "zap" that moves across my knee (a nerve?)... my mobility is not at all limited but I absolutely can not kneel on the knee... do you think it is just bruised? Thank you..

fall on knee

It sounds like it could just be bruised, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to get it looked at just to be safe.

Did you ever see a doctor?
by: Dave

Annette, I fell on my knees 2 weeks ago. I have the same symptoms as you... completely functional with no pain, but I cant kneel on it without pain. My knee is getting more swollen so I've started to ice it a lot and elevate when possible.

Did you ever see a doctor? If so what was the diagnosis. I really cant afford to go the doctor as our health insurance stinks and I have to pay the first 5000.00 out of pocket.

Thanks Dave

Knee Zap
by: Tim

If anybody has come up with the answer I have the exact same feeling inmmy knee. I can't remember anything happening to it but there is a tendon or nerve that I can actually move with my finger on the top of my knee that zaps it across the knee and down the opther side. I have no idea what it is.
