It sucks NEW
by: Anonymous

I doubt anyone will ever read this, but I too tore my acl. Less than a year later after playing 2 games, I was out again with an acl tear to my other knee. Like you, college soccer was in my interests. The first tear was halfway thru my junior year in high school. At the time I thought it was the worst thing that could of happened, but at least I have next year. Like I said, 2 games in I feel the same Pop in my left knee. Senior year is now extremely different than I had planned, but with my last injury and now with this one, I have learned to find the good. I've given up on college soccer, and my eyes have opened to other possibilities. It truely sucks, and I really feel for anyone that has to go thru this. But it really could be worse. It took me a while to realize soccer isn't everything, it doesn't define me, and I can be happy without it.

heart broken NEW

Before my freshman soccer season i tore my ACL, meniscus, and MCL in a tounrnament and was devestated. After physical therapy, the second week of playing again, no contact just easy going, i tore my ACL and meniscus in my other knee. I'm missing my frehsman and sophmore seasons. Right now i'm heart broken and i don't know if i will ever reach my full potential. I atleat wanted to play soccer in collgege and i know i could've done that. One surgery was a major set back, but i don't know how to come back from two when this is my prime time i could have been improving. I went to the doctor yesterday and he was so impressed and said no one had looked this good with only a month since surgery. i felt like crying knowing that my work is paying off, but i know i have a long way to go and it's mentally killing me. I feel like no one can relate to me.. is there any advice you have?
