Hip Flexor Troubles (soccer two per days)

I'm a senior in high school and I just started having problems with my hip flexor this week during my soccer doubles. I was wondering what I should do besides stretching. I am not very felxible but I really need to be back as soon as possible. I rest and iced it but it seems to not have helped after 3 days. What stretches should I attempt and what else should I go about doing?

Warm up and stretching...
by: Bart - SII

Warming up and stretching is extremely important - the other thing that will help with this is to make sure you are stretching not just the hip flexors, but also the hamstrings and lower back.

You may just be having some trouble because you are in two-per-day practices and your body is adjusting to the increase in activity intensity.

If this doesn't start to get better in a few days, or gets worse, get in to see your doctor for an evaluation.
