hip pain

Hello. I have the strangest hip pain. When I sit or stand pain subsides. When I stand or walk normally it hurts, sometimes an 8 on the pain scale. However, if I walk briskly I can walk for more than an hour without pain. As soon as I stop pain is back and it feel like I will lose sensation in leg. what is going on?

These are somewhat unusual complaints. Most of the time it is pain with any activity, or pain without activity, but not as varied as yours.

I would lean to some type of joint pathology, but that is just a guess given what you have described. I would definitely recommend seeing your doctor for an evaluation.
