HOTEL CALIFORNIA

I was checking out a lot to buy ,and I went down this path it had a incline,
as i stared to fall I let go(went with the fall) so hopfully I would not break anything..well i heard it pop..it happend too easy, i have always been careful how to fall and not how to get hurt in my 50 years on this planet.. I could not believe it was broken, there was no real pain,,but i knew that hearing that pop..was not a good sign. I DRIVE A CLUTCH, SO STARTED DRIVING WITH ONE FOOT(NOT EASY) WELL ANYWAY I GOT HOME .FIRST PUT COLD THEN HOT FOR 3 DAYS/THEN I WENT FOR XRAYS..i SHOULD NOT HAVE WAITED, COULD HAVE CAUSED DISPLACIA(SEPARTED THE BONES)GOT THE X RAYS HE TOLD ME THEY WERE SLIGHLY APART AND STARTED TO TALK ABOUT SCREWS AND PLATES..I SAID NO WAY..SO THEN HE TOLD ME AFTER HE PUT ON MY CAST TO COME BACH IN 2 WEEKS TO CHECK OUT THE SPACE AND THE HEALING OF THE BONE..WELL i WENT AFTER 2 WEEKS..IT SEEMS TO BE HEALING AND THE BONES ARE SLIGHLY CLOSER..

THIS SUNDAY I WILL HAVE 4 WEEKS WEARING THE CAST.. DO YOU THINK BECAUSE I AM 50 YEARS OLD I WILL NEED A FEW EXTRA WEEKS TO HEAL..I WAS ACTIVE THE FIRST 3 WEEKS NOW I AM SO TIRE/I DONT WANT THE SCREW JOB/EATING LESS I AM ABOUT 30 POUNDS OVER WEIGHT MY FRACTURE IS ABOUT 2 INCHES ABOVE THE ANKLE

well the bone is healed!!

ok this is for all u guys out there...if you break your fibula ,the farther your are from your ankle(the break) the better the chances you will not need screws and a plate,,,but the most important thing is BABY your self! dont do anything that can cause a re/injury.Dont be stupid!!dont put pressure on the leg,,If you had plans before (the play sports/or a trip plan) forget about it!! there is nothing more important than to heal correctly, so you can walk right in the near future!!! I had a cast on for 6 weeks/ took calcium and mag/ ate less ,lost about 7 lb,,did sit ups but rested..I had 3 xrays to check on the bone..I did not get hurt at the hotel but yes here in costa rica..Other thing..Dont get cocky..I never broke a leg bone before(50years..)What did i learn from all of this?? Alot!! Before hiking,by hand grab your foot and work your ankle/move it around in a small circle/allways work your weaker foot ,losen it up..Ware high ankled boots or sneaker.. feel free to respond..I plan to take it easy /doc told me to use the crutches for a week/then with out..i plan to take it easy ..a little at a time..and soon in the future i again will be the greatest!going to take another xray in 35 days just to check on it!!!thank you..Bruno

Fibula is healed, i am about 87-92% back from before..please if you have any question/ you can email me at hotcalif@racsa.co.cr remmeber with out xrays you are lying to your self!!
