What is the average time somebody should stay away from sports after a partial meniscectomy of the medial meniscus ? and what are the risks. Thanks

Average time to recover from a knee scope like this is usually 6 weeks with rehab, and then another month or so after you start sports to get back to "normal". It varies a lot from person to person.

Biggest risk is prolonging swelling and keeping the knee irritated, and or going back too soon before strength and balance are restored and risking re-injury.
