IMRAN BASAR

Hi,
I'm Imran from India. It was in December 2000 that I got my knee injured while playing cricket. As usual I started experiencing severe pain, could'nt even bend my leg.Over the next few years I did'nt pay much attention to it and was in fact back to playing cricket only after a few months that injury. However,as it was expected,in abense of proper guidance and lack of protection and care on my part the knee started deteriorating. And only in 2007 did I fully realized the extent and seriousness of the situation. Finally on 31st July 2007 surgery was conducted on my knee in ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES in DELHI by a very reputed surgeon by the name Dr.Ravi Mittal and his team.Unfortunetly,it was discovered that my ACL,LCL AND MEDIAL MENISCUS were completely ruptured the reconstruction was required. It was a long surgery around 6 hours;hamstring grafting was opted.

Nevertheless, what disturbs me now is that even after close to 2 years
since surgery I haven't recovered completely.I have been following the rehab program sincerely as advised by my physio and consultant.I feel the recovery is too much lethargic.I completed my MBA last year but because of this hectic physio therapy sessions at home I'm not being able to move out and start hunting for jobs. It's literally getting on my nerves now.

I would like to know as to why this is taking so long??What can be done speed up this recovery process?I believe your guidance and help would improve this sitution.

Looking eorward to hear from you soon.
THANKS AND REGARDS.
