Is an MRI and Treatment Suggested?

Well I was out throwing the baseball around but it had been a while since I threw one and I was throwing it as hard as I could over long distances and long periods of time.

Two hours later I got a really bad pain in my shoulder and it has stayed that way since. I can hardly move it and i think it was a shoulder cuff tear or strain. Apparently its red on the skin where the pain is. What do you think is the problem and solution according to what led up to it?

See your Doctor first...

From what you describe, you could have any number of things going on in your shoulder, from a strain or sprain, to a rotator cuff tear, to laxity, to impingement syndrome.

The best thing for you to do is to see your physician and be evaluated. With a thorough clinical exam and X-rays, they should be able to tell you what you have done. An MRI might be needed, depending on what they find clinically.

See your doctor and start the recovery process...
