Former track star
My name is Jimmy Campbell and on August 20th 2009 at 11:17 am I tore my meniscus and my ACL. I was playing soccer and was eager to represent my college as a freshmen starter. However because of this injury I am forced to miss my whole first season of NCAA soccer. Our team is on a loosing streak and we have trouble in the scoring department. I was brought in as a speed forward that could score by running passed a whole defense, leaving opponents in the dust. In high school I was on the track team and although my college doesn't have a NCAA track squad I was planning on continuing track and field in either the Empire State Games or with the USA Track and Field organization. Speed was my weapon. I hold four records for my high school, one of which is a 4.44 in the 40 yard dash. During my senior year I was named Armory Track Federation USA Second Team Elite for the 400 meter. Anyway from what I've been told there isn't a surgery that can get me to a 47 400 or a 4.4 40. I was thinking hamstring replacement but that would weaken my leg muscles too much. I want to recover to what I could do before but always keep running into discouraging news. I really don't have much knowledge on the surgery so any advice would be appreciated. Thank you for reading and I wish you all good health.
