Jimmy's Acl Surgery

Hey guys, I'm Jimmy 18 and i tore my Acl back in march while playing in my 1st game with my club soccer team. my cleat got stuck in the turf field and someone ran into me. I lost my balance and twisted completely left while my right foot pointed forward. I heard that infamous pop i figured it was just my cleat coming out of the turf. I got up felt some slight pain but it was gone in a matter of minutes. I was warned that nothing seemed to have been torn or broken but just strained to sit out for the next few weeks. But has hardheaded as i am i though i'll just wrap my knee and play the next game. Big mistake i repeated twice knee just gave out the first time while trying to stop and again i heard that pop. 2nd time i just felt like my knee twisted by itself while running. I waited thinking it was probably just a grade II tear and i'll be ok but it wasn't playing with my dog i saw that i had no balance in my leg. I'm a workoutholic i was in the best shape ever at the moment. I saw the surgeon and he just thought there was a slight tear until he saw my MRI that revealed a completely rupture and a fracture in the femur right where the acl attaches. I had surgery third week of may. Surgeon told me there was not as much damage has he expected but my lateral meniscus was shredded into pieces and he had to remove the debris. I'm going into my third Month post op. I dropped Physical therapy cause i was wasting my time there and got my doctor to allow me to do it on my own. I got back full bending of my knee but not to sound like a wuse i'm scared to go back to soccer it my passion, a lot of things i took for granted now scare me to be able to do them again. I was told this surgery could make you or break you. I'm starting to worry and think i'll never be the same again. I'm scared to run even though i know i can do it. I'm squating and lunging but i feel my knee might not be right. I feel completely weak. I'm starting to lose hope in recovering again. I feel as if my dream of playing soccer has been taken from me and ill never been the same again.
