Jim's hip/pelvis pain

by Jim

Been suffering now for about 6 months with extreme discomfort in my left hip area, to the point where I couldn't get comfortable sleeping, and it hurt to stand in one place for any period of time....walking and sitting were fine. I powerlift regularly, and I was fine when squattting and deadlifting also. I get adjusted regularly, and also went to therapy, which also helped a great deal, but once I stopped going, although I continued the prescribed stretching, I still had discomfort. I found your site last week, and have been doing a few of the hamstring stretches daily. The difference has been amazing. I have not felt this good in months. I'm starting to believe that tight hams have been screwing with my pelvic alignment. Just wanted to say thanks for this site, as its been a lifesaver!

Great!

Jim, thanks for the kind words - glad you are seeing some relief with the stretches. I have found in my practice that hamstring and hip flexor tightness, as well as lumbar and thoracic rotation restrictions will contribute significantly to lumbo-pelvic alignment. Glad the site helped!

Hip
by: Kailey

I play softball, Soccer, and Volleyball for many years without a break. I ended up with pain in my left hip. I had an MRI done and It turned out that I tore the Cartledge, and Tissue. I ended up getting surgery to fix the problem. I did therapy and everything and yet I am still in pain sometimes. And like you I couldn’t stand for a long time and It even hurt when I sat for a while. The point is, If your hip hurts bad enough get it checked out, if you end up having to get surgery it wont stop the pain. But it will fix the problem. And also take a break. Take a month or two off the let your hip rest. That was my problem. I played of it for so long it just got worse. and worse. Stop when if hurts and play smart. Good luck with everything. =)
