It was about a month ago when the incident happened. I was playing some basketball with some peers and was actually having a good showing. a fast break attempt came my way and I wanted to show everyone i could fly. That aircraft never took off. As soon as I was about to jump my knee popped out. Fast forward abit and initally the doctor thought i had just sprained my knee pretty bad, but suggested a MRI be taken. The news came back and I was devastated. I had actually torn my ACL, MCL, Meniscus... Me and the surgeon joke around by saying "I sure didn't half a$$ it"
I now have surgery coming up within the next two weeks and I sure am becoming more and more nervous as the day of surgery becomes closer. I have asked any and everybody that I know about how they dealt with ACL reconstruction. I take bits and pieces from them all while also staying positive and level-headed. But I know I have a long road ahead of me so i'm just taking it one dawy at a time.
I shall again post something after my surgery.
One.
