After surgery(:

Hello, my name is Kaden and I'm 14 years old; On February 15th 2011 I tore my ACL, MCL, LCL, and Meniscus playing football after my team's evening workout. I was playing quarterback and attempted a juke move and my leg made a very loud popping noise. It was very painful and very scary to me but luckily I had a friend who was a Junior who had done the same thing I did... TWICE. So he knew what I'd be going through and helped me through everything. I just had surgery on the 25th of March (same year) and it's now the 27th. I had a hamstring graft which is a pretty common procedure. When I was released from the hospital an hour or two post op. The doctor told me to never wear my knee brace again when Sunday arrives... My surgery was Friday. I was shocked because he didn't even give me crutches to go home with, I have never heard of this happening for anybody else so I was a bit skeptical about walking. But it really isn't that bad, now I'm not saying you all can do this because it always depends on what your doctor says, this is MY experience only... Not yours. So today is Sunday and I finally get to take my brace off around noon. I'm a little worried about walking because I have nothing that will keep my leg from doing anything weird. After I take my brace off my doctor wants me to take a shower WITHOUT COVERING MY STITCHES! I have never heard this happen for anyone either. But don't get me wrong I'm VERY excited about this. So if you're reading this you've probably torn your ACL and have had or is going to have surgery. This is nothing to worry about, believin your doctor and trust that he's going to take care of you. Oh, and ALWAYS LISTEN TO WHAT YOUR DOCTOR SAYS! Good luck everyone, I know you will be fine.(:
