Kaycee's Knee Surgery

by Kaycee Wilson
(Oklahoma)

I completely tore my ACL, tore my medial and lateral meniscus, and had minor bone bruising and cracked knee cap. Well, I am going on 5 months after surgery. I had ACL reconstruction with hamstring graft and both menisci were repaired rather than shaved down. I have been trying to start running again and i love it! Well, things have been going really well. There is one thing bothering me. I have a knot that is sensitive below the kneecap and above my incision. I also get a clicking as i go from a weight bearing straightened knee (well actually a bit past straightened/ my knees both hyperextend 5 degrees) to a normal straight knee. I just fear that i may have something happening with my medial meniscus repair :( How do I know? Or is it scar tissue?
