Anatomy knowledge allows for more optimal performance
by: Bart - SII

For coaches and physical educators, and understanding of anatomy is beneficial because it allows them a better understanding of how to improve the function of the body.

If you know all of the parts and how they work, you are much better able to make those parts work more efficiently. For example - if you know all 17 of the muscles that attach to the scapula and the motions that those muscles produce when they contract, then you can then design strengthening programs that will work to improve those specific muscles function, resulting in a stronger and more stable shoulder.

This applies to not only to anatomy, but physiology as well. Understanding how the body works means that you, as a coach or physical educator, can effectively improve the function of the body.

Hope this helps - comment back with other questions.
