Hello everybody im Kyle and this is my acl story. I tore my acl october 4 2008 during a football game. My surgery was on March 5,2009 at UPMC Southside located in Pittsburgh. My doctor was Dr. Harner who is a tremendous man and did a great job on my knee.I had my patella tendon harvested just so people know =]. Surgery went pretty good i guess i really dont remember it too well. I just remember waking up and my parents there.
First couple of days were rough, i was in a good bit of pain my second day but it all went downhill after that. A week after surgery i went back for my checkup and got my 4 stitches out and was allowed to start therapy. Therapy was a little rough in the beginning a little bit of pain getting my rom back but i greeted it. I now go to therapy 3 times a week so i can hopefully be ready for my senior season of football. My advice for people getting this procedure done is just keep your head high thats all you gotta do. Just think in a couple of months your knee is gonna be so much better. Thanks for listening everyone and God Bless
Kyle
