LAFD Fireman

I tore my ACL in early June, managed to have the surgery 2 weeks later. I am now 6 weeks post surgery, I'm walking without problems, climbing stairs, normal daily activities resuming.
I have been very proactive in the rehab process, at physical therapy... they have to keep an eye on me cause I'm always doing more(pushin the limit just a little). I also work on my knee at home with ice/heat and massage therapy, this has been very helpful.

The first 3 weeks were very difficult, quite a bit of pain and just getting use to the fact that your leg doesn't move the way you want it to.
I have noticed a day to day progression of knee mobility and strength.

Good luck, don't get hurt.

You're one of those...

...patients who we LOVE to work with, but scare us just a little bit all the same.

You are doing very well - 6 weeks and minimal physical complaints - this is where it can get dicey because your knee is going to keep feeling better and your mind is going to keep telling you that you can do just a little more - while your body is actually not ready.

Keep pushing yourself in your rehab, just please do be careful!

All the best
