lateral release

After lateral release surgery is it possible for your kneecap to go out agian? Even after the ligiment is cut during surgery to prevent that?

Lateral Release

I had both knees laterally released, with minimal pain afterward. YES, you can have a recurring issue, but less likely with knowledge on how to keep your knees strong. Best of luck - Rebecca

Please Help
by: Keri from arkansas

I have Patella Femoral syndrome in my right knee, and lately it has gotton worse. I have had it for a little over two years. I have been to the ortho and had the shot that helped for maybe a week and now it is right back to hurting so bad every single day i almost end up in tears. I used to work about 2 miles every day and now just walking to the mail box is about all I can do. I work at a day care with 15 two year old and it is my life I worry all the time that someting will happen and my knee will go out. Should I have surgury?
