Lindsey's ACL Surgery

A little over a year ago i got into a really bad car accident and one of my injuries produced from it was a torn ACL. I finally decided to have it fixed and i am 2 weeks out from surgery. During surgery they also found that my meniscus was torn on both sides so that had to be repaired as well. I danced all throughout high school and i know if I ever want to dance again then I needed to get my ACL fixed. There was an elective nerve block that you can take before the surgery which I HIGHLY recommend because it really does tremendously lessen the pain within the first 18-24 hours after surgery. The second day was the worse. The pain was definitely the highest this day but after the second day the pain was bearble and things got better everday. The first session of physical therapy was really hard but the night I got home after it i immediately noticed that it did not hurt as much to lift my leg or to walk on it. From that point I get better every time i go to physical therapy which for me is every other day the first month. My range of motion at 2 weeks is i can extend it all the way straight and bend it to 100 degrees now which i have been told is where i should be.
