Maddy's ACL Rehab

As a young 13 year old athlete (basketball) I was beginning to be very good. I play rec. and select basketball for a top team in Washington.
I was playing a scrimmage with my school team one day and fell. I heard a "pop" noise and much pain to the knee. I also couldn't walk. This was very scary for me... I thought why did this have to happen to me??? It was a huge blow.
The next day (monday) I went to the doctors (on crutches) and they x-rayed my knee and everything. I found out that it was a full tear of the anterior cruciate ligament. I was devastated.
5 months, later after surgery I am doing great. I can now run a mile in 7 minutes (which is a minute and a half better then before). Also I have started doing jumping exercises and am also back to normal.
The first 2 months after surgery is definitely the best. And amazingly my scar is starting to disappear. I miss my teammates and I miss competing but I am sure in awhile I will be back and stronger then ever!
