I ruptured ACL and tore (bucket tear) the cartlige (middle area) around 2001 and 2002, but opted for an ACL clean up and mediscal repair back then as I was young enough to do it even though it meant I had to give up skiing.
A week ago I slipped over in a laundry that had a wet floor from poor drainage (not home one) and know I have damaged the cartlige again just because I remember the same pain from before and the clicking sound etc. I still feel the pain, the swelling has gone down, but I still cannot bend my leg all the way backwards.
My question is this:
Do you think this time I will have to have the full ACL reconstruction especially as there is a history?
It seems the place of business I slipped over in has insurance to cover the surgery and hospital. (Sydney, Australia).
