playing catcher position after acl surgery

I want to know is it a good idea to play the catcher position after ACL surgery. I had patella graft done 8 years ago, I feel pretty good, I can squat without problems but I still feel fearful. I am 33 years old and playing in a men's baseball league after many years of not playing.

Should be fine

You should be fine from the standpoint of the ACL - you may experience some patellar tendon irritation initially because of the increased stress but there shouldn't be any added concern regarding the graft if you can squat normally without problems.
