Question - ACL of the knee

by Chelsea

* What if you have all the symptoms except for a couple of them do I still tell someone and have someone look at it?
* What will happen if I do have a torn ACL and how long does it usually take to heal?

You should see a doctor
by: Bart - SII

If you think you have torn your ACL and you are having pain, giving way, swelling, popping, or any of the other major symptoms, you need to get it looked at. Better to find out exactly what is wrong and get it taken care of than to just wait for it to get better.

ACL reconstruction takes 6-9 months to recover from, after surgery. You can read more about this surgery on the ACL Reconstruction Page.
