Question - Broken foot

my 9 year old son just had a cast removed that had been on for 4 weeks. it has been off for a week and is still very soar and extremely hard to run on and use? is this common?

It is very normal for the foot to be sore for a few weeks after the cast comes off. It will likely take several weeks to get back to normal. Gradually increase activities and take it slow.
