Question - Knee Pain (stairs, step overs, cross overs)

Knee pain on the outside and the back of the knee. Hurts when going up stairs and going down stairs. Hurts when walking and I have to step over something. Hurts when I have to perform a cross over step, it feels like it sticks.

I would recommend seeing your doctor for an evaluation and to determine your treatment options.

If your knees have been injured in the past from an athletic event then your doctor might recommend you wear a knee brace. A knee brace can be useful when you tear ligaments surrounding the cartilage. It can provide the support your knee needs in order for the ligaments to repair. Without a brace then you might cause more damage to the ligaments than necessary.
