Question - MCL tear

I twisted my knee during January 2008. Doctor's diagnosis was MCL tear. However, i did not go for any follow-up with the doctor. Now my knee is okay already but I have no confidence in running/sprinting. I am a basketball player.

Can you advise me what i can do to prevent having the same injury because when I play, I am really afraid.

You need to go through some rehabilitation, either on your own or with a therapist. That is the best way to prevent re-injury and to build your confidence to be able to play again. Working on improving strength and balance in your legs and hips will make you feel more stable and more confident.
