Recheck with your doctor
by: Bart - SII

If you have had this pain for over a year, then it would be a good idea to go back to your doctor and have it looked at again.

You most likely have a muscle strain or some type of muscle imbalance that is causing your continued pain. Rehabilitation is the best way to fix this, and your doctor will be able to set you up with a referral for treatment.

Hope this helps - comment back with other questions.

same problem
by: vic

Hi,

I had the same type problem, only mine happened in military bench presses. 2 MRI's & 6 years later they can only come up with severe long thoracic nerve damage, which is probably secondary to whatever went wrong.

Therapy even made it worse...the 6 times I have been sent to therapy and 6 orthopedics later...no answers. They all gave up. Said I just needed to deal with it and get on with my life....it ended a career.

So, I feel your pain, and wish I had answers for you, but if you find someone who figures out your problem, please repost. I will add this to my watch list.

Shoulder blade pain

Have you tried a chiropractor? I have episodes of this pain off and on and if I can't relieve it by stretching, ice, heat, or anti-inflammatories, a few visits to the chiropractor will relieve it.
