Question - Soccer injury (hip weakness/pain)

by Peter K
(Berkeley, CA)

I feel as if I might have torn either one or many hip flexor muscles on my left side. The injury occurred during a soccer match and I had difficulty lifting my leg. The pain went away but I soon felt the majority of my weight shifting to the healthy leg, thus causing pain in my lower back eventually the muscles on the left side of my body getting very weak, creating a complete imbalance.

I sought help multiple times through Orthopedic specialist, the last one decided to do a resurfacing of my femur and made matter 10 times worse. My left leg doesn't feel aligned anymore, it wobbles when I try to engage all the muscles and my core muscles (especially on the left) are super weak. I just can't thrust my left leg/hip forward the same way I can my right. I never felt that my problem was joint related but I was stupid enough to believe the doctor and have the surgery done.

Please help!!!

Will I ever get any better?
