Question - tibia and fibula bone fracture

hi am roobesh 27 yrs old from mauritius. i got a tibia and fibula bone fracture at work in febuary. i got a surgery on the same day and they put an external fixator.

4 months passed by and both the tibia and fibula have not yet been heal. i wanted to know how much time it takes to be heal and also am suffering from neurofibromatosis does it take much more time because of this.

It does take longer...

Normal time to heal for a fracture is 6-8 weeks - however, with neurofibromatosis it can take much longer because one of the effects of the disease is altered bone healing.

I am not very familiar with neurofibromatosis, so I can't really tell you much about it. I would recommend talking with your doctor about your options, and what kind of treatments you should be doing to help with the healing.
