Qustion - Knee Dislocation (exercises for strength)

by Rachel

I was just wondering what kind of exercises and stretches are best for helping re-build strength into a leg which has had the knee dislocated.

This happened a long time ago and i went through physio about 2 years ago but i still sometimes find my knee to be weak. please help.

thank you in advance,

rachel

Anything that strengthens the quads, hips, and core

Take a look at some of the information in the sports injury rehab section of the website to get some ideas of the types of exercises you should be doing to strengthen and stretch your lower body.

I hope to be able to add more specific exercises for the knee in the near future - just have to find the time.

You may also consider talking with your physician about a referral to physical therapy for instruction in a home exercise program. Or if you have a local gym in your area, talk to a personal trainer there about exercises you can work on to improve your strength and flexibility.

Hope this helps - comment back if you have other questions.
