Return to full contact sports

Hi, im 20 years old. I tore my ACL and damaged my lateral meniscus mid last year and had surgery done on the 22nd of July, as of this week it has been 10 months since the surgery. The time to return to football is near but iam not 100% sure how far away it is. Ive been in full training for the past 2 months doing everything i would normall do before the op, was wondering if anyone was going through the same thing or anyones thoughts on whether 10 months was too soon, thanks

Return in 6 months?!
by: Anonymous

I'm currently 4 months post-op. I missed my senior year of basketball and am now hoping to play college ball. They say you can return in 6 months. I don't know if I'll be that well in 2 more sort months. Any comments? How did returning to sport work out for you? is 6 months do-able? Am I setting myself up for surgery #3?
doctors aren't helpful here.

by: Anonymous

you should be able to return to the field if u feel ur knee is stable and strong plus it's already 10 months,so i think it now depends on youself to decide when to start playing
