I am 2 1/2 weeks post Surgery and had 2 Ambulance rides back to the hospital. My problem happened when the nurse noticed that my oxygen level had decreased to 85. I went to emergency to make sure I didn't have a blood clot. They sent me home after a cat scan revealed no clot.
The next day i felt swollen and had trouble putting on my brace. the following morning i had a swollen face and could not breath. I called 911. My blood pressure was 222/136 and I was in congestive heart failure. They did every test known and my heart suffered no damage, Thank God. I am now on Beta blockers because my pressure is all over the place and my heart rate is high (tacky). Hopefully I will be off the drugs soon, But what a scare.
I find my self crying a lot and it feels good , but I believe this is a normal reaction after a scary ordeal.
My knee is amazing as I am weak and still in bed but ,I am faithful about my work outs. My Quad is much stronger and I look forward to a full recovery.
Just make sure when they have you go home that you can void (urinate). that was the problem and it could have cost me my life. If you don't feel right trust yourself, you know best.
Hope I can help someone. Live long and work out!
Best of luck.
