Shoulder Rehabilitation - (rehab exercises for SLAP tear)

I am an Athletic Training Student and I am doing a paper on a Rehabilitation program for a baseball catcher with a labral tear, probably a SLAP lesion. I was just wondering if you had any ideas for the paper like rehab exercises and time lines of when to start certain exercises and unique exercises that aren't in the normal cookbook of rehabing a shoulder.
Thanks for your time.
Hope to hear from you soon!

A good place to start your search for information would be with the July-September 2000 Journal of Athletic Training (volume 35, number 3) - This was a special issue on evaluation and management of shoulder injuries in the athlete.

There is an article specifically on SLAP lesions by Alessandro. There are also several articles on functional training, the kinetic chain, the role of the scapula, and rehab after surgery.

I would start there and see what you can find - it is a good issue to get your mind thinking.

Let me know if you have any questions.
