(Austin, Texas)
Almost 3 weeks post-surgery (before starting formal physical therapy), I jerked my repaired shoulder up, back and around inadvertently - every direction I wasn't supposed to (reacting to a lunging dog), and aside from tremendous pain, felt something "funny"/"different" in the shoulder.
Ever since then, I feel like I've gone backwards in my progress, suffering more pain, less flexibility, etc. Is it possible that I dislodged the repair? I called the doctor's office and conveyed this story and heard back from the nurse, who said the doc would check it next week when he saw me. Trouble is, I'm not scheduled to see him for two more weeks.
I go to my firs=t physical therapy session today and plan to tell them the story too and see what they say. I just hate to think about having undone whatever was done.
Thoughts? Advice?
P.S. A few other minor repairs were done in addition to the SLAP II repair.
