Snowbird ski resort, Utah

Last week, my friends and i went out west for a skiing trip. We arrive to Salt Lake City around 11 at night. The next morning we make our journey to Snowbird so we can get some fresh powder. I hit five or six runs before i run into some bad luck.

About 500 feet from the summit i stop to check on my buddies. As i slow down i catch a rock under the powder twisting my knee. My pain level was about a 4 on a list to ten. I mostly felt numbness and my knee was very hot. Snow patrol helped me down the mountain, which was an exciting experience by the way.

The snow patrol takes me to the clinic when a doctor that doesn't look a day older then 25 comes in asking me questions. He man handles my knee a bit to check my ACL MCL and meniscus. It turned out i had the "unhappy triad." Everything was torn.
Today i went to see an orthopedic surgeon named Morris. Dr. Morris had the same diagnosis as the Snowbird Dr.

I had the same injury...overshot the landing on a table top and did the 'terrible triad.'

This happened around 2000 and had surgery in the fall that year, did the physio, was confident to ski with a brace in December 2001. I was 16/17 at the time.

Had skied ever since, last fall I took a spill on my mountain bike and blew it out again. No skiing this past winter, surgery upcoming this fall. Not sure I'll ever ski again after this one though.
