in july i had a lateral release on my left knee now after xc season my right knee is hurting and i already tried pt and it had no effect on me. i have to get the same surgery on my right knee on april 2nd. even though i have been through this once i am still very scared and nervous. how long will be till i can run again? should i keep doing strengthening exercises even after i start running to prevent this from comming back? i didn't do the exercises for my left knee once i started running and it is fine as long as i stretch my IT band every couple of weeks. what do u think?
