It was April of 2007 and I was the captain of my high school lacrosse team at age 17. First game of the season I go down for a graound ball and I feel pressure on my back then the next thing I felt was a pop. The pain sucked and I had to go to the hospital right away. At first my knee was to swollen to see what was really the cause of the swelling. Two weeks later I had found out I had tourn my ACL. I had explained to my team the next day that I had blown out my ACL, but I was going to continue the rest of my senior year and just have surgery over the summer. This was very painful, but I wounldn't have wanted it any other way. I had surgery in June of 2007 and 3 days after I began my rehab. Yes rehab is probaly the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but if you work hard and push through it you can have a fast recovery like myself. If you are going to have ACL or any type of surgery I recomend being in good shape, so you can have a fast and safe recovery.
